Sunday Worship

Holy Communion (every Sunday) BCP or Common Worship

Come and join a quiet reflective service of Holy Communion using traditional language and hymns. Sometimes there are newer songs and a warm welcome always awaits you. Afterwards people gather in the Rider Hall foyer for coffee and chat – a great way to start Sunday morning!

An informal service for all ages
(includes Holy Communion every second Sunday in the month - all welcome)

Groups for children and young people (Tiddlywinks 0 to 4's; Kidzone Yrs R to 6; St Andrew's Youth Yrs 7 to 13)

Walk into St Andrew’s at 10.30 and you will find people of all ages catching up, welcoming new faces and joining in with the band who are warming up to lead us into vibrant worship to the glory of God. We start as one family together and then generally split into different age groups for relevant and lively teaching from the Bible, God’s word. Sometimes there is a baptism or Holy Communion but there is no dress code, no ‘right’ way to worship, just come and find out for yourself! Fresh coffee is served after the service and you will always be made welcome.

6.30pm Worship and Bible teaching service. Contemporary worship from 6.30pm followed by interactive and in depth study of the Bible. Come and find out what we do.

Mid-week (Wednesday) Worship

Holy Communion

On Wednesdays in the side chapel in St Andrew’s we gather for a simple service of Communion. People say this is an ‘oasis’ of peace in the week. Some have said ‘I didn’t know it was for people like me’. Some find the bigger gathering on Sunday difficult either because of their work pattern, family commitments or because they don’t ‘do crowds’. If that’s you then why not give this quiet worship opportunity a try. You may just find that you encounter God in a way that you have been wanting to for years.  You can expect a bible reading(s), prayers, short talk and sometimes a song. It lasts approx 40 minutes and there is always the option to stay for coffee afterwards at the back of the church.
